The task was to create a 35-second video set to the music of La Bouche - Be My Lover, with briefly inserted photos of my jewelry and photos/videos of other retro attributes: dancing girls, flashes, African Americans, similar to the examples.
Briefly with quotes from the terms of reference:
1. "A 35-second video for Instagram with the overlay of the track...: La Bouche - Be My Lover (starting from 0 seconds)" - The performer made the track not from 0 seconds, but from the middle.
2. "Need to add other pictures/videos to the video..." and "5 images are examples of the retro style that can be used in the video" (attached are 5 retro-style pictures) - The performer did not add any files other than photos of the jewelry.
3. "IMPORTANT!
The task is NOT to show the jewelry in all its glory, but to show it briefly - intriguing the user. Briefly.
And the focus is on an interesting, bright video, with a quick change of images." The performer made a video ONLY from photos of the jewelry, and the first photo is in the frame for 7 seconds. 7 seconds does not equal Briefly.
4. "Quickly changing images, can be rotating, fading, vignettes, and other effects that will help darken the video and make it as close to retro as possible..." "+Adding African Americans is highly welcomed." The performer made changing images to music with torn edges and dust, nothing more, and 7 seconds of the logo.
5. In the correspondence, before the reservation, I sent a video "here in the cap cut I played a bit and created this. In general, for understanding what I want, this video fits. It has a change of frames to the music, quickly and in the style of the song." - In the video, there are dancing girls, many of them, in different locations, colors, in height and face. In general, in an 11-second video, there are 9 different girls and about 20 photos of jewelry.
As a result, the performer provided work that is objectively significantly worse, where it is just a collection of photos of jewelry.
6. Deadlines. The author dragged it out until the very end. 3 hours before the deadline, he wrote "Hello, I will try to make it," but got lost.
I am attaching the completed frames from the video. Unfortunately, the video cannot fit into the 2MB limit.
I am facing the situation for the first time where the performer does not understand the task; it even seemed to me that he did not read or look at the examples.
I had nothing to show my client. The project launch deadlines have been missed. The client is losing money.
And yet, in his profile, one of the main aspects is - "Your idea will be the foundation, and I will ensure that the result exceeds all expectations.".. Something like that.
