At the beginning of the work, we discussed the task and agreed on the terms with payment. At the end of the deadline, it turned out that no work on the project was carried out at all, the contractor stated that he had personal difficulties and therefore he could not complete the work, asked to extend the deadline for 1-3 days, I agreed. After the new deadlines expired, the contractor contacted me and asked me not to cancel the project and that he had almost everything ready and in the near future he would upload everything to the host. And then it happened, on the second day he really uploaded our "new site" to the host, I was delighted and began to think that everything would be fine, I began to look at the site and noticed a large number of shortcomings and shortcomings, the fonts were different, the site was poorly adjusted, etc., I think little things, a person will finish when I tell him everything, but it wasn’t there. Upon closer examination, I realized that several pages were missing and not a single button worked. The contractor slyly began to ask to close the project and pay the funds, at first we corresponded for a long time about this, then he asked to call him, I dialed him, he said that the buttons are only 1-2 hours of work and he will finish it, but he urgently needs money now. And the pages missing from him are almost ready and he will also complete them and fill them in very quickly, but he cannot wait for payment any longer and I urgently have to pay everything. He, as an honest person, will finish everything and make all the adjustments for fonts, buttons, site elements, pages after payment. I refused, to which he began to offer advertising, etc., if only I would pay for everything now. I spent 2 hours on these conversations. As a result, I flatly refused to pay for a very crude version in advance. I gave the person 3 more days (even though I was assured that the work was there for 2 hours), to finish the site, and if everything is ok, there will be only little things to fix, then I will pay. But the work was never done. Therefore, I cancel the order, I lose time and potential clients, and these are financial costs. There is no desire to work with this person anymore.
