    Ashen Journey – A Dark Souls Inspired Cinematic

    3D Modeling
    “Ashen Journey” is a short cinematic inspired by the haunting atmosphere and visual style of the Dark Souls series. The project was created using Unreal Engine 5, Blender, and Cascadeur, combining high-quality assets with custom animation to bring a melancholic and powerful mood to life.
    Set in a dying world slowly consumed by darkness, the story unfolds through six cinematic shots, each revealing a unique glimpse into this fading realm.

    The voiceover is taken from the original Dark Souls III trailer and carefully synced to enhance the narrative flow. Ambient sound design was chosen to reflect the themes of silence, decay, and solemn determination.

    This scene captures a pivotal moment from my latest project created using Unreal Engine 5.1. At the center of the composition is a majestic creature — the Kraken, emerging from the depths of the ocean onto a rocky shore. My goal was to convey a sense of tension and primal power of nature through the meticulously crafted textures of the monster and the surrounding landscape.

    In addition to this shot, the project also includes a fully animated scene showing the Kraken rising to the surface. The animation demonstrates the immense power of the creature interacting with the turbulent ocean and rocky terrain. To achieve realism and depth in both the shot and the video, I utilized the advanced capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.1, including high-quality textures, complex shaders, and a carefully designed lighting system.

    … This work is part of a larger exploration of mythological creatures in contemporary 3D art, where I investigate how classical mythological themes can be combined with the latest advancements in computer graphics.
