Waiz Arkany

I am a motivated and resilient individual with a strong academic background and practical professional experience in interpreting, transcription, and language support services. I completed my high school education in Maungdaw, Myanmar, and later studied Biochemistry at Sittwe University, where I ranked as the top student in my first year, demonstrating strong analytical ability and discipline in learning. Due to armed conflict between the Arakan Army and the Myanmar military, I was forced to leave Myanmar and currently live as a Rohingya refugee in Bangladesh, where I continue to pursue education and professional development independently.

Professionally, I work as an interpreter and transcriber, providing accurate and confidential language support between English and Burmese/Rohingya speakers. I have experience handling real-time interpreting calls, including medical and general conversations, ensuring clarity, cultural sensitivity, and accuracy under time pressure. I also have experience in transcription and data-related tasks, where attention to detail and consistency are essential. I am familiar with online interpreting platforms, remote work tools, and basic computer operations, and I continuously improve my technical and language skills.

In addition to language services, I actively work on improving my English fluency, grammar, and professional vocabulary, especially in medical, legal, and business contexts, to deliver higher-quality interpretation. I am self-driven, adaptable, and disciplined, capable of learning complex concepts independently despite limited resources. Alongside my professional goals, I have a strong interest in technology, computer engineering, and automation, and I am preparing for long-term academic opportunities through international scholarships, including Türkiye Scholarships.

I am known for being reliable, ethical, and focused on personal growth. My long-term goal is to build a stable professional career that combines language services, technology, and education, while contributing positively to my community and supporting myself through lawful and skill-based work.
