Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer ERP Integration, Data Warehous

We are looking for a strong Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to design and implement a reliable data pipeline between our ERP system and modern analytics tools.

The main goal of this role is to build a clean and scalable foundation that allows us to:

• extract data from ERP,
• structure and store it in a data warehouse,
• send relevant events to Google Analytics,
• and prepare the data for reporting, forecasting, and AI-driven analysis.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who understands both data engineering and business analytics architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build a reliable pipeline to extract data from our ERP database or ERP API.
• Develop and maintain clean, well-structured datasets for:
  • orders,
  • order items,
  • customers,
  • products,
  • stores / sales channels,
  • returns / refunds,
  • inventory-related analytical data where relevant.
• Build and manage a data warehouse environment, preferably in BigQuery.
• Define data models suitable for analytics, reporting, and future AI use cases.
• Implement server-side event delivery to Google Analytics 4 for relevant business events such as purchases, refunds, and customer lifecycle events.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, deduplication, and proper mapping between ERP records and analytics data.
• Create a scalable architecture that can later support dashboards, forecasting, anomaly detection, and other AI or machine learning workflows.
• Document the architecture, data flows, schema definitions, and synchronization logic.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical data structures.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in SQL and relational data modeling.
• Practical experience building ETL / ELT pipelines from APIs and/or operational databases.
• Strong understanding of:
  • primary keys / foreign keys,
  • normalization and denormalization,
  • fact and dimension tables,
  • incremental loading strategies,
  • data validation and deduplication.
• Experience with Python or a similar language for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
• Experience with at least one modern data warehouse, preferably:
  • BigQuery, or alternatively Snowflake / Redshift / PostgreSQL-based analytics environments.
• Experience integrating data with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics 4.
• Understanding of server-side tracking and event-based analytics concepts.
• Ability to design robust solutions for messy, real-world ERP data.
• Ability to work independently and make strong architectural decisions.
