Here is how I see the logic: ALZ (price_4) → calculation of pre_price → join with PO by EAN → selection of PO price by rule → comparison → result (for example: pre_price, po_price, delta, delta_%, winner),
I am laying down for safety:
1. EAN as text/number: in Excel it often drops leading zeros or converts to float → we need to normalize (string, trim, without .0)
2. Duplicates of EAN in PO: there may be several rows for one EAN (different warehouses/suppliers) → we need a rule: take minimum, maximum, first, or by column priority
3. Currency/VAT: ALZ and PO may be in different currencies or with/without VAT → we need a clear rule before comparison
4. Empty/0 prices: what do we do if there is no price in PO or it is 0
Questions that will help to better assess the task:
1. Which PO price to take if there are several rows for one EAN: min / max / first / by warehouse / by status?
2. Are ALZ price_4 and PO prices in the same currency and format (with/without VAT)?
3. What result is needed at the output: update your price (substitute the better one), or just a comparison report (difference/deviation)?
Regarding the timeline and price, if this is adding logic to an already existing script/pipeline without surprises: EAN is unique, one currency, simple rule for selecting PO price = 3-6 hours, 3000-6000 UAH.
If rules are needed for duplicates of EAN + currency/VAT + data cleaning + report/logging: 1-2 days, 7000-12000 UAH.
Once you send examples of the two files ALZ and PO or at least their structure, column names with EAN and price in PO, I will immediately fix the exact figure and tell you which option of rules is optimal.
