I am looking for an experienced 3D CAD or industrial designer to create a professional parametric CAD model of a prototype.
A high-quality parametric CAD model needs to be created, which can be used in the future for making design changes, creating new versions of the product, and preparing for mass production. After the modeling is completed, several photorealistic renders of the finished product also need to be created.
Project
I am developing a Bluetooth remote control for managing a media player.
To find the optimal ergonomics, I manually created a physical model out of clay. After that, the model was scanned, and now I have its 3D scan. However, this scan is used only as a reference—I need a new, high-quality CAD model with correct geometry and smooth surfaces. Only the outer casing, without considering the internal placement of boards and electronics.
A photorealistic 3D render also needs to be created.
I will provide
photos of the physical prototype;
3D scan of the prototype;
detailed description of the product and all its parts and materials, as well as dimensions;
if necessary—additional references.
What needs to be done
reproduce the shape of the prototype in the form of a professional CAD model;
maximize the preservation of ergonomics and the overall shape of the product;
create clean geometry and quality surfaces (not just edit the mesh of the 3D scan);
prepare the model in such a way that it can be further refined and used for manufacturing the prototype casing, placing electronic components in it, and further production;
provide a file for 3D printing.
Desired result
output CAD file (SolidWorks, Blender, or another professional CAD system);
STEP (.stp/.step);
IGES (.igs) (if possible);
STL for viewing and 3D printing;
provide photos of the 3D render considering the chosen materials in specified angles (5 pieces).
