С вашей версии но последнюю можете обновляться без переживаний с админ панели, для этого вам не нужен специалист, все модули будут работать корректно и нечего не слетит если конечно вы все делали правильно с модулями ( то есть, все правки вы вносили в шаблоне - модули которые редактировали основные их файлы перенесли в шаблон, и не лезли в сам корень joomla ). Все расширения с версии 3.7 хорошо переносят обновления на 3.8 без всяких неисправностей. То ж спокойно обновитесь.
