The problem is not with the module itself, but with the payment processing logic (callback + redirect). In such cases, it is not a fact that the module needs to be changed — in most cases, this is resolved by correcting the code and synchronizing statuses.
- I will check the callback processing from Monobank
- I will find the reason why a redirect to Fail occurs on SUCCESS
- I will correct the status checking logic (without duplications and conflicts)
- I will organize the order statuses in OpenCart
- I will test the payment scenarios
If it becomes clear during the process that the module is really problematic — I will suggest a proper alternative. But there is no need to change anything without necessity.

The problem is described accurately — and I can immediately see where to look.
Reason: race condition. Monobank sends a webhook (POST to your callback URL) and simultaneously redirects the client to the result_url. These are two parallel requests. The redirect is often faster — the client reaches the success page before the webhook has time to record paid in the database.
Why exactly 40-60%: it depends on the load of your server and the speed of processing the webhook. At peak times — more often, during quiet times — less often.
My fix plan:
Review the code of the success page — how the status is checked
Add retry logic: check the status 3-4 times with a pause of 1.5 seconds before showing failure
Or: check the status through the Monobank API (/api/merchant/invoice/status) directly, not from the database
Ensure that the webhook signature (X-Sign) is validated correctly
Cost: 2,000 UAH, timeframe — 1-2 days after gaining access to the code.
Write — send the version of OpenCart and the Monobank module.
