1. The project was described and discussed in more than 50 messages BEFORE signing the agreement for its implementation. There were no technical issues.
2. Also, at the stage of this oral discussion, the project did not seem unusual to the performer. On the contrary, he very easily outlined point by point what he will do easily, what he will do 75%, and what he will not do (according to the specification).
3. We discussed the fact that the performer needed to do all the work locally, and then another programmer who is familiar with the custom engine of this site would check this work and deploy it if everything is OK. There was no resistance from the performer here either. We even increased the project amount. In other words, nothing bad was expected.
4. After that, the performer was given access to Bitbucket, where he was stored and where other programmers worked with him. And here was the first warning for the client (me) that the performer did not have an account on Bitbucket.
5. After 24 hours, the performer wrote that he was refusing the project because he would need more time (a week instead of 2 days) than he expected. I suggested agreeing to a new deadline and even a new project amount. I received a refusal again, because the performer "does not have time to understand the code and the system."
6. I also once again (loyally) suggested to the performer to mark the tasks in yellow and green in the table, but again received a refusal with the motivation that he may need to study the admin panel of my site. Although there is nothing similar in the admin panel for these tasks.
7. Therefore, my conclusion is: the performer could not figure out how Bitbucket works and could not set up his local work with the code. And for this reason, the client invented "problems" with learning the system. In other words, this is unprofessional from any point of view. The brilliant promises to do quickly (point 2) found no real confirmation. And
8. Considering the above, I can evaluate only the speed of responses, it was satisfactory, considering that I did not need to do the project quickly.
Attached is the table that the client made before starting the work.
