Looking for a video editor / Reels editor for ongoing collaboration
A strong editor is needed to work with video content in the format of YouTube + Reels/Shorts.
I'm looking for someone who can create modern, dynamic, engaging edits:
- with a coherent assembly of meaning,
- with on-screen texts,
- with accents,
- with transitions,
- with sound effects,
- with an understanding of attention retention.
What needs to be done
1. Editing long videos for YouTube
There is raw material, sometimes in the format of a podcast / interview / conversational video.
Need to:
- assemble it into a complete episode,
- remove unnecessary parts,
- build the structure,
- make a clean, professional edit,
- add subtitles, inserts, accents if necessary.
2. Cutting long videos into vertical Reels / Shorts
From finished or raw podcast material, need to create 20–30 vertical videos.
What is important:
- finding strong fragments,
- making dynamic edits,
- adding subtitles / text accents,
- designing the video for Reels / Shorts,
- enhancing attention retention through rhythm, zooms, transitions, sound effects.
3. Separate editing of short Reels from raw material
Sometimes there will only be raw material for short videos.
Need to independently assemble interesting, lively, dynamic Reels from it:
- with a good pace,
- with texts,
- with transitions,
- with engaging delivery.
What is important to me
- experience specifically in Reels / Shorts / YouTube
- ability to create not boring, but engaging edits
- good taste in on-screen text
