Подобный сайт и калькулятор/конструктор целесообразнее выполнить на CMS WordPress. У меня даже есть очень хороший плагин для такого дела. Можно настроить гибко и красиво.

на WordPress магазин "лагає" страшно. Вже мав проблеми, перейшов на opencart.

Это глупости, дело в оптимизации. Любой недоработанный шаблон как на ВП так и на опенкарте работает одинаково ужасно. Можете взять для сравнения топовый премиум шаблон от двух движков и прогнать его по Google pagespeed. Результат будет идентичным.
Все зависит от разработчика. И методов разработки правильных, а не просто взять шаблон и его менять.
