Consultation on exchanging LUSD coin in Coinbase wallet

Hello community,

I have no experience with cryptocurrencies at all, but one of the sponsors of my hobby project said he could donate a small amount for the development of the project in LUSD coin. The problem is that neither I nor he knows how to exchange it for something more popular to then send it as money. Everything is legal, the amounts do not exceed even a thousand dollars, but I would like to master such a donation.

So we have this task. 

The investor who is donating to us has a Coinbase wallet. There is a bit of LUSD in the BNB network. 

We tried to exchange 10 LUSD for USDC within the wallet, and unfortunately, we just lost 10 dollars. So it doesn't work.

 Next, we tried to send 10 LUSD to the Binance address of our colleague who copied the LUSD wallet address to Binance. We also lost 10 dollars.

So :) there is no desire to continue losing due to lack of knowledge, so we need someone who has extensive experience working with LUSD coin and can advise how to withdraw it correctly or point out where we went wrong.

I think the best format for the consultation would be a Google Meet so we can demonstrate the phone screen with Coinbase wallet and try all the advice live right away.
