This is just a guideline, not a panacea... because there are no other options... but blindly publishing on websites just because Ahrefs shows a high DR is, at the very least, reckless... this also applies to MOZ's DA assessment... these services are great to boast about if you want to sell publications of articles from other websites, but for promoting your own products... there should be a slightly different approach... And I will add: if your page is not at least in the TOP 100, then links will not help you.
