Про проєкт

Нам потрібен досвідчений спеціаліст для проведення оцінки технічної доцільності: визначення того, що (якщо щось) можна відновити або вивести з артефактів, що належать клієнту, виявлення ризиків для інтелектуальної власності/розкриття та рекомендації практичних заходів щодо пом'якшення або захисту. Вся робота повинна виконуватися відповідно до угоди про нерозголошення та відповідати передовим юридичним/етичним практикам.

MATLAB artifacts for evaluation:

A MATLAB-built executable (packaged app).

Two MATLAB P-code files (execute-only, obfuscated).

What you’ll deliver

Technical feasibility report for each artifact describing:

What kinds of information can reasonably be recovered or inferred (e.g., high-level algorithms, data formats, function names/structures, compiled native code, resources), stated conservatively and with evidence.

Confidence levels and assumptions for each claim.

Practical remediation/mitigation recommendations (packaging/licensing, obfuscation, code separation, native compilation approaches, hardening).

Responsibilities

Use appropriate static and dynamic analysis techniques to evaluate potential recoverability - without publishing or distributing recovered intellectual property.

Document methods, results, and limitations clearly and professionally.

Provide remediation advice that fits MATLAB ecosystem options (packaging, compiler settings, use of MEX/native modules, licensing controls).

Work under strict NDA and follow client's IP/legal constraints.

Must-have skills & experience

Deep practical knowledge of MATLAB internals: MATLAB Compiler / MATLAB Runtime (MCR), p-code, MATLAB Coder, MEX files and how MATLAB packages code.

Proven experience performing code artifact analysis (experience with MATLAB artifacts strongly preferred).

Reverse-engineering background (binary analysis, familiarity with PE/ELF formats, symbol/name recovery, static analysis tools) — note: we expect high-level expertise, not stepwise instruction.

Experience producing concise technical reports and recommendations for engineering.

B2 English (written + spoken).

Nice to have

Prior work assessing MATLAB executables / p-code or published case studies (non-confidential).

Knowledge of C/C++ and compiler toolchains.

Background in software hardening, licensing systems, and commercial protection tools.
