Setting up Merchant API for the website
Currently, Merchant operates by generating a feed from the general database (not from the site) which is updated once a day. It is necessary to configure it so that products are updated from the site via the Merchant API. The site operates on the OpenCart platform.

748 6 0 Hello!
I can set up the transition from the current scenario (feed from the "general" database once a day) to real-time product updates from OpenCart via the Google Merchant API (Content API for Shopping), so that the Merchant Center receives up-to-date prices/stock/statuses without delays.
Work plan:
Audit of the current scheme: where the feed comes from, which fields are generated, what rules are in GMC (shipping, tax, policy).
Connecting Merchant API: setting up access (OAuth / Service Account), linking accounts, test request.
… Implementation of synchronization in OpenCart:
products.insert / products.update / products.delete (or products.custombatch)
field mapping: title, description, link, image_link, availability, price, sale_price, brand, gtin/mpn, google_product_category, condition, shipping, etc.
support for variants/options (if needed)
Update mechanics:
triggered update when a product/price/stock changes in the admin panel
cron as a backup mechanism (for example, once every 1–3 hours)
Logs, error handling (429/5xx), retries, monitoring "what did not pass in Merchant."
Result: Merchant Center receives up-to-date data from the site almost in real-time, without dependence on a separate database and daily feed updates.
Required accesses:
OpenCart admin panel + access to site files (FTP/SSH)
access to Google Merchant Center
(if needed) Google Cloud project / ability to create credentials
I can implement it as a separate module/extension for OpenCart, so it is easy to maintain.
