VPN Configuration

Title:
VPN tunnel setup between two nodes using StrongSwan (Debian 12)

Project description:
A Linux administration specialist is needed to configure a secure VPN connection between two computers using StrongSwan on Debian 12. The goal is to organize a stable and secure IPsec tunnel for encrypting traffic between the two nodes.

Tasks include:

• Installing and configuring StrongSwan on both machines (Debian 12);

• Configuring IPsec using IKEv2;

• Generating and using certificates or pre-shared keys (optional);

• Configuring the firewall (iptables or nftables);

• Testing the tunnel: connection check, tracing, ping, data transfer;

• Documenting all steps performed for future use.

Expectations:

• Experience with StrongSwan and Debian/Linux systems;

• Ability to work remotely with SSH access (if necessary);

• Detailed explanation of configurations after completion.

Deadline:
Up to 2 days after task acceptance.
