🧾 Task: Configure product import module from XML to OpenCart 2.3 (similar to Prom/Rozetka)

🔧 Goal:

Implement automatic import of products from XML file into OpenCart (v.2.3), with the ability to:

• flexibly bind categories

• support updates by article or ID

• replace attributes, name, description, price, stock

🗂 What is available:

• CMS: OpenCart 2.3 (live site)

• Files in XML format (structure similar to Prom/Rozetka, with tags <product>, <id>, <price>, <category>, <availability> etc.)

• Site where XML is generated via UniXML module

• Test site available for import testing

🧠 What is needed:

• Configure or improve working XML/YML import module functionality in OpenCart

• That can:

  • Load products from XML file (via link or manually)

  • Update products by article (sku) or id

  • Allow manual category mapping (for example, from XML “water ring pumps” → “Industrial Pumps / Water Ring” on the site)

  • Import images, price, stock, description, name, attributes

  • Update stock and prices on re-upload

  • (optional) delete outdated products from non-current suppliers
