Good afternoon. On the server, there is Proxmox with 2 virtual machines FastPanel + WIN11
I have problems with the mail on the server. It has been hacked and is sending spam. I changed the password for the account that was sending it and disabled it. But as soon as I enable it, the sending resumes. I think spam emails are stuck in the queue.
There are several domains on the server for which there are mail accounts.
The server is configured through Cloudflare, but unfortunately, if the IP is proxied there, the emails do not reach.
Tasks:
I need your advice on configuring the protection of this server from sending spam from it.
1. Help restore the root password - on the virtual machine with FASTPANEL. - access to Proxmox is available and there is root access to the main server.
2. Configure SpamAssassin for outgoing mail. So that it assigns a rating and somehow warns me about spam sending.
3. Configure Rate-limit (for example, blocking sending more than 10 emails per hour). But I need to set this up individually.
4. Properly configure fail2ban to somehow protect against hacking. Advise how to protect accounts from hacking. Complex passwords are already understood.
5. If possible, configure the visualization of EXİM so that I do not have to dig into commands but work with a visual panel.
6. Clear the queue, figure out what is wrong with the address that is sending spam.
