Optimization of GPT plugin on WordPress + LearnDash

📌 Technical Specification (Project Application)

Description:

I already have a working GPT plugin for WordPress, created based on LearnDash and Retake Quiz. The plugin uses the OpenAI API to check text answers to exam questions (marine theme: SKS exam, Germany). Currently, the following corrections are required:

🔧 Tasks:

1. Correct score calculation:
   • Counting points for each answer (0, 1, or 2).
   • Proper display of total score (always a maximum of 60 for 30 questions). Currently, the calculation sometimes makes errors.
2. Performance optimization:
   • Currently, after 3–4 attempts, GPT checking becomes very slow.
   • After manually deleting progress in LearnDash, everything works quickly again.
   • Need to fix this issue without manually resetting the course.

🧠 Requirements:

• Experience with WordPress plugins (preferably — LearnDash).
• Experience integrating the OpenAI API.
• Ability to identify and fix performance bottlenecks (requests, cache, etc.).
• Ability to read and modify existing code.

🌐 Project language:

• The project is built in German (questions and interface).
• Knowledge of German is NOT required as the tasks are purely technical, and all instructions and communication will be understandable without knowing the language.

📈 Possibility of continuation:

If the cooperation is successful, the next step could be creating a separate GPT trainer outside of LearnDash but integrated into WordPress, with:

• "training" and "exam" modes,
• saving progress,
• full interface.
