Что бы не менять код, измените значение параметра max_join_size в файле конфигурации сервера базы данных my.cnf... если сервер на linux, то скорее всего файл конфигурации находится здесь /etc/mysql/my.cnf.
после изменения конфигурации, перезапустите сервер командой:
service mysql restart
