так а зачем bootstrap? это большая библиотека из которой будет использоваться только часть кода. лучший вариант - бэм + flexbox.

8 лет работаю с шаблонами на Bootstrap, на их основе разработал пару сотен сайтов, многие из них - интернет-магазины. Под Bootstrap имею множество готовых решений на бэкенде, которые завязаны именно на Bootstrap, благодаря чему уникальный личный кабинет, который использую под магазины, система скидок, список желаний и множество другого функционала (который часто нестандартный) переносится буквально "CMD" + "C" и "CMD" + "V" и ничего менять вообще не приходится.
Лучший вариант - тот вариант, с которым разработчик (в вашем случае заказчик) привык работать. На Bootstrap можно повторить этот шаблон с версткой почище, с несколькими CSS-файлами и несколькими JS-файлами, а не как как есть сейчас. -
