We need a person who has successfully built a custom Chromium build at least once.
The main task is to assemble a custom build in which you need to:
- Close the password bubble at the top (if there is a saved password on the site, the password bubble will appear at the top, so just remove the icon)
- Required flag —groupname=“”
- Your own icon and names for the browser itself
Chromium is needed for Windows. It is a big plus if you have an OS for VPS on Windows, as the main problem is that we can purchase a virtual machine for you on Linux and you need to build Chromium for Windows from Linux through "Cross-compiling Chrome/win". We are interested in people with experience, please, if you respond, write the following so that it is easier for both us and you in the next communication:
1) What is your experience with Chromium build systems, possibly more specific projects
2) Have you ever made changes directly to the browser code (C++/JavaScript/Chromium UI)?
(For example, changing flags, icons, names, or behavior of components.)
3) Have you had experience creating your own builds with modified branding, logo, and build flags? (Perhaps there are existing projects where your build works)
4) Have you used your own patches or do you have experience writing them for Chromium?
5) On which VPS did you build Chromium?
6) How difficult will it be for you to add your own name, icon, and change the interface (for example, remove the bubble password)?
7) Can you show an example of an already built version of Chromium or screenshots?
8) What rate do you usually charge for similar tasks?
9) Do you have a GitHub or other portfolio with examples of projects or patches?
10) How many days do you need for this?
