Your task is very close to me, as I have extensive experience in designing frame energy-efficient buildings. I work in ArchiCAD, which allows me to create an accurate three-dimensional model of the frame, where each joint—from the bottom plate to the rafter system—is calculated down to the smallest detail.
How I can be useful to you:
- Structure and joints: I will develop the "correct" wall assembly with cross insulation, which will eliminate cold bridges. I will consider all membranes (vapor barrier with seam sealing, super-diffusion membrane) for the durability of the wood.
- Roof calculation: I will select the rafter sections based on the snow load for the Kyiv region (~160 kg/m²) and propose solutions for ventilating the attic space, so the workshop does not overheat in summer.
- Foundation: Based on the dimensions and weight of the building, I will provide recommendations (most often, a pile-screw foundation or a slab with thermal break is optimal for such a utility block).
- Material specification: You will receive an exact list of wood (by piece), insulation, and facade materials, which will allow for purchasing everything without leftovers.
What you will receive as a result:
1. Architectural plans, facades, sections.
2. Layout schemes for each wall with stud spacing for insulation.
3. Connection details for windows, corners, and ceilings.
4. 3D visualization to understand the style of the "wet facade" for the main house.
