Доброго времени суток . На данный момент у меня в наличии имеется модели принтеров Xprinter N160II и Xprinter 58IIH насколько мне известно на обоих этих моделей имеются датчики состояния бумаги. Если эти принтера не подойдут я могу приобрести принтера других моделей предложенные вами

У нас в Украине одни из самых распространенных это zebra, godex и их китайские клоны, у вас в Эстонии могут быть совсем другие марки.

Во первых под какой ос это все работает? Если виндовс и какая-то программа все время держит открытым порт принтера - то придеться писать драйвер. Если линукс, то можно обойтись и без драйвера. Если виндос и программа открывает порт по необходимости, то думаю можно будет воспользоваться стандартным API windows
