I can fully implement the project of transferring routing to hAP ac², configuring CAPsMAN, switching hAP ac to Bridge+CAP mode, transferring WireGuard, and building a single seamless Wi-Fi network.
WireGuard on both MikroTik devices operates solely on the CPU. There is no hardware acceleration, so the actual VPN speed depends only on the CPU and is usually limited to about 80-150 Mbps.
CAPsMAN is only possible in the old version because both devices do not support the new wifi stack. The features of the modern CAPsMAN will not be available; this is the classic CAPsMAN v2 with basic roaming capabilities.
Wi-Fi on hAP ac and hAP ac² is built on old chipsets. If VLANs are added, all operations are performed by the CPU, as there is no hardware acceleration for L2/L3. This significantly reduces performance under high traffic or a large number of clients.
All of this will be taken into account during the setup to achieve the most stable operation of CAPsMAN, Wi-Fi, and WireGuard on your equipment.

- Set up WPA2/WPA3 authorization.
There may be issues with some client devices if auto (WPA2/WPA3) is left enabled. For example, some smart switches and EcoFlow will not be able to connect to a network with WPA3 encryption, only with WPA2.
- Wi-Fi requirements (seamlessness)
There is no true seamlessness. It all depends on the client driver of the specific device and its developers.
It is possible to configure:
- automatic switching between access points (roaming)
but this does not mean there will be seamlessness. The connection may be lost for 1 second while the client switches to another access point.
