He asked competent questions, I always tested the project on time and provided feedback. After the 7-day deadline expired, I extended the deadlines, hoping that the contractor would complete his work, but with a slight delay. However, when I asked how much time he needed to finish the project - he ignored me.
Then I faced an unpleasant situation from the contractor: I gave him corrections based on the initially agreed terms of reference. Four days passed, he wrote nothing in the dialogue, did not update the project. But he filed a claim in arbitration stating that I was not responding (even though I provided corrections and was waiting for completion. I log into the site daily to check for messages in the project) and asked the arbitration to pay him for the completed work.
I saw this on the same day; he realized that it didn't work out. I duplicated the corrections to him, part of which (the simplest ones) he completed that same day. For the other part, he said he needed time.
As a result, after 20 days of the order, he refuses to continue working and offers to sell the already written script for half the price. Of course, I consider this option, given that 20 days have been spent on development, and I request screenshots of the code to send to our developer for evaluation.
And I see terrible code. We agreed on a PostgreSQL database, but instead, I see SQLite. The code itself is awful. Apparently, he took snippets of code from the internet.
