Due to my designer's illness, I had to bring in +1 person to keep up with the project. At the same time, I hoped there would be another person on the team, which would make the work go more smoothly. I chose Valentyn because he presented himself as competent during our conversation.
Overall, this is my mistake because now I see that based on his profile and the number of completed cases, I could have expected anything. In fact, I waited until two weeks later when I saw the work, which I initially sent back for revision, and then the performer completely handed me the working file with a message that he could not complete the work. The result - disrupted purchases, delayed start of installation, the team will have downtime.
I want to specifically mention the communication. When you talk about corrections, specialists usually respond with something like "accepted, I will send the corrected version tomorrow." Here, however, it was more like communicating with a student who disappears after receiving feedback, planning to show up on the day of the exam. An example was the last comment about the lack of structures, after which Valentyn did not respond, and when I inquired a day later about where he had gone, I received the reply "I haven't gone anywhere. I'm working on the project. I want you to have everything in your hands by Monday."
I am to blame for hiring an architect as a designer, not noticing that the person lacks experience, being swayed by the price. This is a lesson I needed to learn. And to Valentyn, I leave this review and message that you should only take on the work that you are capable of doing. This is construction, this is people's lives, and these are serious matters.
