# **Contact Information Verification Guide**
**Goal**
Verify the contact information for each entity.
You can work in **Microsoft Excel** or any spreadsheet editor.
**The final file must be saved and sent in CSV format**.

## Search Procedure
Find the official website by entering the name of the institution + city. Verify the phone number, email address, and physical address, and also record the URL of the source for each updated value.
## Official Website
A website is considered **official** if the contact page (or the institution's page) lists the **address** of the institution and at least one official contact, such as:
* phone
* email
* contact form
**Do not** use directory websites as official websites.

## Phone
Use only the institution's phone number.
Do not use:
* another branch;
* head office;
* human resources;
* fax.

## Email
Use only the published official email address.
If **the email address is missing**, leave the email field blank and indicate:

Do not provide email addresses at your discretion.

Verify:

If the information is contradictory, indicate:

Each changed or newly found value **must contain the URL of the source**.

Each institution must have the following information:
Institution name
Street
House number
Postal code
City
Official website
Phone number in the format (+49)
Email address
Source URL(s)
(for example, on the official site where the contact information is located - https://website.com/contacts.html)
Verification status
If any value is missing: NO_EMAIL, NO_WEBSITE, NO_TEL
If there is no official website, data should be taken from unofficial sources and the data source (URL) should be indicated.
