Сайт ремонтні роботи/будівництво
At first, they suggested creating the site not on WordPress, but using technologies convenient for them. After rewriting and arguing that I didn't need C, they agreed to WordPress, saying that they had experience and it wouldn't be a problem. On the very first call, they started saying that they couldn't import the designed site into WordPress because the plugin asks for some money. Most likely, they wanted to use some ready-made solution. After that, I informed them that no plugins for WordPress were needed, that everything could be set up very simply and without hacks in the form of paid plugins. After that, they rolled out the first version of the site, I provided feedback, and with the fixes, it seemed that even more bugs were being created. I decided to log into the admin panel and check how the site was made. And there I saw 3 different builders, ~20 random plugins. The pages were built in a way that was unclear. It seemed that all elements were created separately for each page. The footer on each page is different, and most likely the header is too. There are no common elements.
They wanted to use WordPress to easily manage information and edit it as needed, but ended up with something incomprehensible. I have never encountered such an unclear structure.
In the end, all this will result in extra weight for the site and will affect loading speed, LCP, and everything related to Google Lighthouse.
After the second feedback, they offered me to fix this on the builders or pay extra to redo everything properly. All deadlines were not met, there is a full list of bugs, and I think there will be more; it was just already hard to navigate what was where.
