We are looking for an experienced SEO specialist to help implement SEO strategy across client websites, with a focus on website structure, local SEO, on-page optimization, technical SEO basics, and content improvements that help businesses become more visible online.
This role is not limited to keyword research. We need someone who can take an SEO plan and execute it directly inside website pages, making sure the site is structured properly for search engines, AI search, and users.
Responsibilities
Review website structure and recommend improvements for SEO visibility, user flow, and conversion.
Map keywords to core pages, service pages, location pages, blog posts, and supporting content.
Write and optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, H1s, H2s, image alt text, internal links, and URL structure.
Implement SEO updates throughout website pages without disrupting brand voice or conversion strategy.
Support local SEO by optimizing location-based content, service-area language, Google Business Profile alignment, and local search signals.
Identify technical SEO issues such as broken links, missing redirects, slow page issues, duplicate titles, missing metadata, indexing concerns, and basic crawlability problems.
Review Google Search Console and Google Analytics data to identify visibility issues, indexing concerns, and improvement opportunities.
Create or support FAQ sections, answer-based content, and structured page content for AEO and AI search visibility.
Recommend schema markup needed for local businesses, service pages, FAQs, articles, organization information, and reviews where appropriate.
Coordinate with the website designer/developer to make sure SEO structure is built into the site during redesigns, not added as an afterthought.
Provide clear documentation of what was changed, what still needs to be fixed, and what should be prioritized next.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of on-page SEO, local SEO, technical SEO basics, and content structure.
Experience optimizing small business websites, service-based business websites, local business websites, and/or multi-location businesses.
Ability to work inside website builders, CMS platforms, or directly with a development team.
Comfortable using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, keyword research tools, SEO audit tools, and page speed tools.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal person is detail-oriented, strategic, and execution-focused. They understand that SEO is not just about rankings. It is about helping the right people find the right business, understand what the business offers, and take action.
This person should be able to work alongside a marketing strategist, website designer, content writer, and developer to make sure SEO is built into the full customer journey.
This is a contractor role with project-based and ongoing monthly opportunities available.
Pay will be determined based upon skill.
