Short-form Video Editor (Reels/TikTok/Shorts)

Project Description:
We are a SaaS startup for content creators. We are looking for a freelance video editor with skills in After Effects / motion design who will consistently create modern Reels / Shorts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) about our product from our raw materials.

This is not production "from scratch" — you will receive ready-made videos from cameras/screens + a clear brief and from them, you will create dynamic, understandable, and clean videos with pleasant motion design.

What Needs to Be Done

• Edit vertical videos 9:16 (15–45 sec, maximum up to 60 sec) from:

  • talking heads (founder / team),

  • screen recordings of the product interface,

  • sometimes — additional b-roll.

• Cut pauses, mistakes, "filler," build a dynamic story with a strong hook in the first 2–3 seconds.

• Combine faces + screen recordings:

  • zoom animations,

  • highlighting important elements on the screen,

  • smooth transitions between scenes.

• Do basic motion design:

  • animated text overlays (titles, subtitles, quotes),

  • soft appearances/disappearances of elements, swipe/slide animations,

  • highlights on product features (icons, simple graphic objects).

• Add English subtitles (without errors, readable) + highlight key phrases (animation/color).

• Sound processing:

  • clean voice, volume level, basic noise reduction,

  • if necessary — light background music without copyright infringement.

• At the end of the video, add a clear CTA ("Link in bio," "Try our SaaS free," "Save this reel," etc.) + neatly integrate the logo/brand.

What We Provide

• Raw videos (links to files/folders): vertical video from a phone, screen recordings, sometimes additional b-roll.

• A short brief for each video:

  • goal (explain a feature / case / warming up),

  • main idea (1–2 key messages),

  • desired CTA.

• Brand guide:

  • colors, fonts, subtitle and graphic style,

  • references to videos that we like.

What Needs to Be Delivered

For each video:

• Ready video file MP4, 1080×1920, 9:16, H.264, optimized for Reels / TikTok / Shorts.

• (Preferably) An additional version without text/subtitles for localization.

• A short text block (Google Docs / Notion):

  • proposed hook (first line of caption),

  • 2–3 phrases for description in English,

  • 5–10 relevant hashtags.

• By agreement — the editing project (Premiere / DaVinci / Final Cut / After Effects) for possible future edits.

Freelancer Requirements

• Experience in editing vertical videos (Reels / TikTok / Shorts) from 1 year.

• Confident knowledge of Adobe After Effects or similar for creating basic motion design (animated titles, overlays, highlights, simple graphic animations).

• Portfolio with examples:

  • vertical videos for social media,

  • preferably — videos with motion graphics / animated texts.

• Experience working with screen recordings / interfaces (SaaS, applications, services) will be a big plus.

• English at a level sufficient for correct subtitles and simple captions.

• Ability to work neatly with branding: clean design, without "heavy" effects and visual noise.
