Technical Task: Vectorization of John Richmond (JR) Prints
Goal: Creation of accurate vector copies (formats .AI, .EPS, .SVG) of two graphic compositions from t-shirts for further high-quality printing (screen printing, DTF, or heat transfer).
1. General Requirements for Both Layouts
- Type of Graphics: Clean vector without raster effects (shadows, blurring).
- Geometry: Closed contours, absence of intersections and line duplication. Minimum line thickness — 0.3 mm (for stable printing).
- Scaling: Objects must scale correctly without losing proportions.
- Color Model: CMYK or Pantone (black color — 100% Black).
2. Specification of Object No. 1 (Green T-shirt)
Description: Heraldic composition made with rhinestones (dots).
- Styling: It is not necessary to maintain dot structure; it should be executed as a single drawing.
- Detailing:
- Central element — shield with the monogram "JR".
- Shield bearers — lion (left) and unicorn (right) with crowns.
- Upper part — large crown with a cross.
- Lower part — inscriptions "RICHMOND" and "ROYALTY".
- Requirement: Do not preserve the structure of the “dot” drawing. The distance between elements should be such as to prevent merging during printing.
3. Specification of Object No. 2 (White T-shirt)
Description: Complex heraldic illustration in engraving/sketch style.
- Styling: Line art with a worn/vintage effect.
- Key Details:
- Text circle around the monogram: "SEX DRUGS ROCK N ROLL".
- Ribbons at the bottom with the motto: "IN GOOD WE TRUST".
- Central helmet above the shield.
- Text block at the bottom: "RICHMOND" (large font), "ROYALTY" (smaller, serif).
- Requirement: Maximum accurate reproduction of fine strokes and “torn” edges of lines to preserve the rock-and-roll aesthetic of the brand.
4. Expected Files
- Source Files: .AI (Adobe Illustrator) version CC.
- Universal Formats: .EPS (v.10) and .PDF (high quality).
- Preview: .PNG on a transparent background in high resolution.
Note for the Designer: Pay attention to the authentic lettering of Richmond fonts. If direct matching is not possible — redraw the letters manually along the contour.
Cost per unit: negotiable, depending on the skill of the performer.
