We are looking for a graphic designer / illustrator to design a complete visual identity system for a business related to rescuing, treating, and protecting animals. The outcome of the collaboration should be an original graphic style and its consistent application across all materials and spaces.
Project Goal
To create a cohesive branding that combines the aesthetics of:
- a Polish rural cottage from around 1850,
old atlases of anatomy and biology,
19th-century scientific engravings,
contemporary veterinary medicine,
animal protection and rescue.
The project should be recognizable, timeless, and capable of evolving over the coming years.
Expected Style
Rustic / folk / vintage style combined with scientific illustration.
Inspirations:
old anatomical atlases,
zoological engravings,
old biology textbooks,
botanical illustrations,
19th-century medical graphics,
Polish folklore and folk ornaments,
old pharmaceutical and apothecary labels.
Graphic Motifs
The project should utilize, among others, anatomical cross-sections of dogs, cats, horses, birds, and other animals, skeletons, internal organs, the nervous system, brain, heart, lungs, bones, neurons, cells, DNA, microscopic preparations, chemical patterns, EKG lines, syringes, vials with medications, old medical instruments, animal rescue motifs, subtle plant ornaments, elements of folk patterns and embroidery.
All elements should be executed in the form of precise engravings, reminiscent of illustrations from old scientific atlases.
Character of the Project
The graphics should be elegant, light, technical, scientific, without the effect of overload.
Biological elements should seamlessly blend with folk ornaments and rustic details.
Color Scheme
Dominant colors: cobalt, navy, burgundy, graphite, sepia, shades of old paper, beige, ivory.
The colors should give the impression of a print made on old paper or porcelain.
Scope of Development
The branding will be used, among others, for designing:
wallpapers,
ceiling wallpapers,
large-format graphics,
furniture fronts,
wardrobe veneers,
films for doors and glazing,
information boards,
room signage,
pictures,
advertising materials,
visual identity of the clinic,
materials for the internet and social media.
All designs must be prepared in production quality, ready for large-format printing.
