I propose a solution for your task: creating a universal PSD template for a cover that will be modern yet understandable for the target audience (history teachers, ages 25–45). The design will remain consistent in structure, while only the main text blocks (class, author, subject) and the background illustration will change. This will allow for quick scaling of the series of covers without losing style.
Example of the approach: a restrained modern composition can be created with clear typography at the top and an area for the background image. For instance, a concise block for the subject title in a rectangle with a calm color palette associated with educational literature. Such a design will be readable and at the same time look more modern than the existing option.
Deadline: I will send the first version of the layout within 2 days after receiving all materials. Final adjustments will take another day.
