With this Nicegram CallRecorder, it's an eternal story; audio sessions are intercepted through CallKit, and if system interruptions are not handled properly, the recording drops in the background with any incoming call. I've already tinkered with Telegram iOS for similar tasks. The main catch is that when you cut account settings and hide usernames, Telegram still tries to pull this data for profile views. If you don't cut them out at the level of presentation controllers, the interface will start crashing.
