I write bots on node.js, for myself, for more than 3 years, and obviously after a while came to the fact that on historical data to test much better than in real-time mode, since you can get a bots test result quickly and over a long period of time! In the past, the historical data was taken from the stock exchange through API! But it turned out that the results of real trade and testing on historical data are different! The reason was that the historical data from the API took for a certain period and did not take into account all currents - that is, the data per hour min 1000 max 1200 at the same time currents could be two or three times from 1001 to 1199! After you started collecting the data on your own - the current data based on real trading ! The results were correct!
