Technical Assistant / Design Engineer for Construction Calculations and Drawings (Remote, Hourly)
We are looking for a remote technical specialist for long-term cooperation on construction projects in Austria.
We need a person who can work with drawings, perform construction calculations, prepare schemes and technical documentation, as well as assist in project organization.
Main Tasks:
- calculation of material volumes based on drawings
- calculation of concrete
- calculation of reinforcement
- calculation of bricks
- calculation of mortar
- calculation of insulation
- calculation of gravel
- calculation of drainage
- calculation of foundations
- calculation of walls
- calculation of ceilings
Additionally Important:
- preparation of reinforcement schemes
- calculation of the amount of reinforcement for foundations, walls, and ceilings
- compilation of a reinforcement schedule by positions
Working with Drawings:
- refinement of existing drawings
- making changes in PDF / DWG
- drawing missing nodes and solutions
- preparation of working schemes for construction
Additional:
- schemes for plumbing
- schemes for electrical work
- placement of communications
- passages through foundations and walls
- water supply
- sewage
- electrical points and wiring
Working with Documentation:
- calculation tables
- comparison of supplier prices
- requests to suppliers for materials
- assistance in preparing calculations for client proposals
- Excel tables for materials and costs
- assistance in organizing project documentation
What is Desirable:
- construction or engineering education
- experience with construction calculations
- ability to read construction drawings
- confident use of AutoCAD / DWG / PDF
- confident use of Excel
- attention to detail
- responsibility
- availability during working hours
- ability to gradually manage tasks independently
