I am a UX/UI designer developing my personal SaaS product. The product is a high-end website with extensive functionality. The site is already complete, featuring a unique design and code, developed with over 30 unique blocks and more than 10 unique pages.
This has currently been implemented using ACF PRO + Flexible Blocks as well as Polylang.
For further development of the project, I need to complete the following two tasks:
🔧 Task #1: Complete UI update of the WordPress Dashboard according to my design
Description:
I am a UX/UI designer and want to develop my own design for the WordPress Dashboard panel.
It is necessary to completely change the appearance of the admin panel according to my design — to make it visually modern, minimalist, and in line with a premium product.
This is not about the frontend of the site, but specifically about redesigning the WordPress Dashboard interface (icons, fonts, spacing, menu structure, panel styles, etc.).
Goal:
Create a clean, thoughtful, and visually appealing admin panel, so that working in it evokes a sense of comfort and professionalism, rather than the standard “WordPress out of the box.”
Important:
- All changes must exactly match the provided design.
- Compatibility with WordPress 6.6+ is mandatory.
- Do not disrupt the operation of standard CMS functions and its connected plugins.
- The visual design can be implemented through a custom plugin or a separate theme for the admin panel.
🔧 Task #2: Change the way content is edited on the site
Project description:
I have developed a custom WordPress site template for a large number of clients (subscription model).
All code and design are completely unique, implemented using ACF fields + Flexible Blocks.
The problem is that the current content editing interface in the admin panel looks unpresentable and is complicated for the client — especially with 12+ pages and 30+ different blocks.
⸻
🎯 Task goal:
Connect a convenient, modern, and visually pleasant content editing interface that will be:
- Simple for the client (without access to unnecessary settings),
- Aesthetically designed — corresponding to a SaaS product sold by subscription,
- Support live content editing.
⸻
💡 Implementation options:
1. Breakdance Builder (preferred) — I will provide the license.
2. Or your alternative implementation option on WordPress, if it provides similar convenience, pleasant UI, and flexibility in limiting client rights with live editing.
⸻
📋 Important details:
- Each client receives a site with a fixed set of blocks.
- All blocks are already in the database and ready for use.
- The client can only edit content within the specified parameters of the block.
- Adding, deleting, or changing the structure of blocks is not available to the client.
- The client must have the ability to change the order of blocks on the page, as well as add or remove blocks from my block database, and this must work in live editing.
- All restrictions must work regardless of the chosen tool.
Subsequently, you will need to connect the new editing system and transfer all content from ACF PRO to the new content editing system.
F.A.Q:
Question 1: The client can change everything through hosting.
Answer: The client does not have access to hosting; they only receive access to the admin panel itself, but not to hosting.
Question 2: What is live editing?
Answer: Live editing means that the client has the ability to see and change content directly in the blocks themselves. Examples of live editing can be seen on the Elementor website (also referred to as Drag & Drop).
Question 3: How much should the UI of the WordPress Dashboard be changed?
Answer: I want to hear this from you; I know and have seen some examples that this is completely possible. It also depends on how exactly you implement the change in content editing itself.
I have been in this industry for over 5 years, and I have collaborated with many different developers from Junior to Senior level, so I understand the real timelines and prices for this work.
I look forward to your proposals!
