Hello! I am engaged in the construction of underground houses from sea containers. I need a structural engineer to work on this project, possibly on a long-term basis. Currently, I am starting the construction of a house in Spain with the following data:
1. Incline 35%
2. Upper layer of soil - loose fertile soil, clayey transition, thickness 0.7 meters
3. Medium yellow-brown forest clay, hard - 1.2 meters
4. Yellow heavy soft clay with high plate-like carbonate inclusions - 1.5 meters
5. Next, there will likely be dark-gray clay with even more carbonates
In terms of density: hard non-settling forest clay
Density from the upper layer to 2 meters: average 1700 kg/m3
Further, clay density 1950 kg/m3
General object characteristics: total weight of the structure without the foundation weight 75-90 tons
Total building footprint for the premises - 10x10 meters
Main point supports including container supports for distributing the total weight - 18 pieces (shown as points on the draft)
We plan to use a strip foundation of 80x50
We plan to create a three-layer cushion under the foundation with geotextile: gravel 40-70/20-40/sand. Compact with a compactor up to 3t/m2. Cushion thickness - 80-100 cm
The total selected earth volume will be around 91-100m3 (150-180 tons)
Clean surface under the containers - length x width: 7-8.5 meters
In the foundation cushion calculations, I also take into account that the worst situation is only in the first two deepest meters. Further, the situation is much better because there remains the native rock, which is quite stable. Upon closer inspection after the completion of moral works, I will be able to give a more precise answer on whether the cushion needs to be made for the entire building area or just half
It is necessary to verify all the data and give an assessment of whether everything is calculated correctly?
