there is a sample, an identical site (not mine) on another domain. my site is almost an exact copy.
in my site, everything is implemented almost identically, but I have problems with loading speed. the original does not.
this is evident from how long it takes to load images and other elements of the site. (the favicon spins for about 10 seconds on my site)
I am not very focused on google page speed.
I need to see that my site opens normally and quickly.
my own attempts to solve everything through cursor, replit have not been successful.
we need to understand the issue, not just hand the task over to a neural network.

lazy loading as a solution is not satisfactory. Users scroll very quickly, everything needs to be loaded at once.
And the original site does not have this. I have all the files of the original project, there is no lazy.

As far as I understand, only the text and images were changed in the website copy, so the issue is likely with the images. If this is the case, the problem can be solved by conducting a small optimization:
✅ Convert images to the modern webp format, which is much lighter than png and jpeg
✅ Slightly reduce the resolution of the images. High image quality may be unnoticed by the user but can significantly slow down the website loading.
✅ Add lazy loading for images. Images that are at the bottom of the page will not load immediately but only when the user scrolls down to them.
If any fonts, styles, scripts, or icons are being loaded from a CDN (another server), there is also a possibility that issues with their loading are delaying the loading of the rest of the website.
But of course, I will only be able to understand the exact cause of the problems if I receive links to both websites. I will download both websites using the wget utility, review the code, and compare the file sizes of both websites.
