Source text: 23 pages in DOCX (please note: the number of pages in the layout will differ from DOCX — it is determined by fonts, margins, and illustrations).
Text and layout
Select a readable serif font and size (guideline: 11.5–12 pt; leading 1.15–1.25).
Alignment: justified with correct hyphenation.
Paragraph indent: 0.25″; no blank lines between paragraphs.
Page numbering: at the bottom, neat and sequential; numbering starts from the first page of the main text (title/copyright without numbers).
Safe zones: all important elements inside safe ≥ 0.25″ from the trim line, away from the gutter (inner edge).
Illustrations (interior)
The book has 8 full-page COLOR illustrations: TIFF, CMYK, 300 dpi, for full page 6.125×9.25″ (with bleed 0.125″).
Place exactly according to the script and within safe zones; no white borders.
Important objects not near the gutter.
Cover (wrap)
Assemble a full cover: back + spine + front, with bleed. (Front and back illustrations provided.)
Spine width — according to KDP template (after final page count and paper selection).
