WordPress update and debugging

Below will be outlined the full work plan, but I do not know what budget will be needed for this, I am currently limited to the amount of 2000 UAH.

To start, I want to pay 800 UAH to get acquainted with the specialist and receive the first real actions and opinions regarding the situation with the website.

I have all the access to both the admin panel and the hosting. I will provide it when we agree on payment and deadlines.

An experienced specialist is needed for a comprehensive audit, cleaning, and updating of the website on WordPress / WooCommerce.

Main goal: Successfully pass the Google Ads review and lift the block due to "malware".

🚩 Current issues

The website was created about two years ago and currently has a number of critical issues:

1. Google Ads Block: Google does not allow the site to participate in contextual advertising, citing the presence of malware.

2. Outdated PHP version: The site uses an old version of PHP that needs to be updated.

3. Outdated Elementor: There is a warning about the need to update the Elementor plugin.

4. Outdated WooCommerce templates: The theme ("gogrin") uses outdated versions of WooCommerce files, which causes warnings in the system:

   • gogrin/woocommerce/archive-product.php (version 3.4.0 is outdated, version 8.6.0 is needed)

   • gogrin/woocommerce/cart/cart.php (version 7.4.0 is outdated, version 10.1.0 is needed)

   • gogrin/woocommerce/cart/cross-sells.php (version 4.4.0 is outdated, version 9.6.0 is needed)

   • gogrin/woocommerce/checkout/form-checkout.php (version 3.5.0 is outdated, version 9.4.0 is needed)

🛠️ Necessary steps

1. Backup creation: Before starting any work, make a complete backup of the website files and database.

2. Audit and virus cleaning (Priority #1):

   • Conduct a full scan of the website for malicious code, viruses, shells, and other malware.

   • Completely clean the website by removing all malicious files and code insertions.

   • Submit the website for re-evaluation in Google Ads.

3. Environment update:

   • Safely update the PHP version on the server to the current, stable, and compatible version.

4. Update plugins and theme:

   • Update the Elementor plugin and any other outdated plugins (if any).

   • Resolve the issue with outdated WooCommerce templates.

   • Important detail: The theme ("gogrin") was purchased on MonsterOne, and access to this account is available. This should be used to download the latest version of the theme and correctly update the WooCommerce template files.

5. Testing:

   • After all updates, ensure that the website loads correctly and that all functionality (especially the cart and checkout process) works without errors.

✅ Expected result

1. The website is completely cleaned of malware.

2. The block in Google Ads is lifted, and the website is allowed for advertising.

3. The PHP version is updated.

4. The Elementor plugin is updated.

5. Warnings about outdated WooCommerce files are absent (thanks to the theme update from MonsterOne).

6. The website operates stably and correctly.
