Adjacency.by — refinement and launch of a Django service based on Figma

I improved the existing Django project and brought it to a working state. Initially, the task started with implementing the design from Figma, but during the process, the project was expanded: in addition to layout, user scenarios, payment, promo codes, admin panel, and server-side were developed.

What was done:

Frontend and design

- Transferred the design from Figma to the existing Django project;
- Adapted pages for desktop and mobile;
- Improved the interface and unified the visual style of the pages;
- Fixed errors in the existing layout and templates.

Service functionality

- Enhanced the user scenario for composing a letter;
- Added a "How to compose a letter" block with options without registration and through a personal account;
- Implemented a promo code system with discounts applied before payment;
- Set up payment through ERIP / E-POS and payment via QR code.

Admin panel and server-side

- Improved the administrative part so that the client could change texts, content, and settings herself;
- Prepared the admin panel for further independent management of the site;
- Worked with the server-side and launched the project on Google Cloud / Compute Engine;
- Checked the website functionality after changes and ensured the functionality was stable.

Result

The website received a ready adaptive interface, functional payment, promo codes, manageable content, a convenient user scenario, and a more user-friendly admin panel for the client.

After completing this task, collaboration continued on other improvements to the project.
