ArchiCAD Roof Design Calculation Estimate Any Complexity

I develop roofs of any complexity in ArchiCAD as a complete engineering system fully ready for manufacturing and installation without additional clarification. The project is created not as abstract geometry but as a real structural solution with clear load transfer logic, stable spatial behavior and technologically justified nodes and connections.

The work is based on an accurate spatial model that allows predicting real structural behavior in advance, ensuring stability and eliminating deformation, thrust forces and installation problems.

Within the project scope the following is performed

1 development of the complete structural roof scheme based on actual building geometry and support conditions
2 structural calculation and selection of rafters beams ties posts and all load bearing elements
3 detailed design of all nodes and joints including ridge valley intersections roof transitions and supports
4 calculation and selection of screw bolt and threaded rod connections including their quantity and layout
5 development of structural solutions for skylights roof windows and complex junction areas

A separate stage includes preparation of estimate and specification allowing full understanding of materials and structural composition

1 preparation of full specification of all timber and steel elements
2 creation of material schedules with cross sections and element lengths
3 calculation of timber volume fasteners and auxiliary components
4 preparation of data for manufacturing cost estimation
5 creation of a complete basis for procurement and commercial proposals

The working documentation includes

1 complete roof framing plan
2 structural sections with real geometry
3 detailed connection nodes
4 accurate 3D structural model for assembly understanding
5 full specification and estimate

As a result you receive a project that allows
