Concept of an online diary and photo album
Client Request
A scalable interface component representing one calendar year is needed. The goal is to accommodate various volumes of data (events, photos, videos) while maintaining a clean interface, regardless of whether the user has thousands of memories or just a few.
Concept 1: Emotional Showcase
In this version, priority is given to immersion and atmosphere.
Design: All information — year and counters — is integrated directly onto the cover image, creating a "window into the past."
Key Features: Minimalist overlay to reduce visual noise.
The cover is the main element, making the archive look like a physical photo album.
Settings: Fully editable abstract placeholders provide a premium look to the interface, even if the user has not yet uploaded a personal cover.
Dynamically adapts to the number of active counters.
Concept 2: Structured Gallery
This approach focuses on clarity and organization of metadata.
Design: Clean card layout, where the visual memory (cover) is separated from the statistics.
Key Features: * Clear separation between the cover image and metadata (events, photos, videos).
High readability with counters placed in a dedicated area below the image.
User Path: Users can choose a personal photo or select from a curated set of abstract placeholders. If there are no photos, a stylish default option is automatically applied.
Ideal for high-density lists and experienced users.
Technical Details
Mandatory Elements: Year label (e.g., 2023), Event counter (1–999+).
Additional Elements: Photo and video counters, Custom covers.
Logic: Empty years (0 events) are automatically hidden to keep the feed relevant.
