Cossack Mamay

I am pleased to present my new 3D model — Cossack Mamai. Cossack Mamai is one of the most recognizable symbolic images of Ukrainian visual culture. He is often depicted as a free Cossack, musician, warrior, and philosophical traveler — a quiet image of freedom, strength, and inner independence. During the creation of this miniature, I was inspired by Ukrainian iconographic and folk representations of Cossack Mamai from the 17th–18th centuries. I wanted to preserve the spirit, stylization, decorative language, and symbolic atmosphere of these historical images and reinterpret them in the format of a detailed 3D sculptural miniature.
