Development and support of the website of the Ukrainian Institute
Website Development
The main website of a state institution in the field of cultural diplomacy. Role: development according to the provided design guide (codebook) and long-term technical support (4+ years). The website is the core of a large pool of multilingual resources of the institute on VPS.
Stack: WordPress, The7 theme + child theme, Elementor, ACF Pro, Redis, Cloudflare, PHP 8.1, MariaDB.
Development and customization:
– Layout and assembly of the website according to the corporate design guide (brand book) of the institute
– Integration of custom corporate fonts of the institute into the theme
– Development of custom templates for projects and programs (Elementor, ACF, tagging and categorization system)
– Ukrainian + English versions, complex structure of sectors and news
– Interactive dashboards (Google Data Studio) on analytics and research pages
Administration and performance (4+ years of support):
– Server caching setup (Redis + plugin) — website speed doubled
– Elimination of critical failures: Cloudflare 522, OOM crashes, exceeding disk quota
– Backup setup (borgbackup via SSH)
– Constant flow of tasks: fixing layout, templates, menus, sliders, display bugs
