Finance tracking app / Mobile-Design
During the client briefing we discussed what key features should be included and the expectations for the product. My task was to create a simple and understandable mobile app for managing personal finances, it had to be convenient enough to want to use it every day.
Initially, I delved into competitor analysis, looked at competitors' features, and reviewed many popular financial apps. It was important to understand what people use, what they like, and what causes frustration or confusion.
Simultaneously, I conducted several interviews with potential users: asked how they currently track expenses, whether they plan a budget, and what exactly slows them down in this process. The collected information helped understand users' pains and joys, as well as formulate hypotheses about future features, from quick expense addition to viewing overall financial information for the week or month.
Based on this, I created the first prototypes, simple wireframes in Figma. At this stage, I tested several navigation options in Maze: it turned out that overly complex transitions between screens create additional inconveniences. I had to redesign the logic and simplify the interaction.
Next, I focused on contrast and readability, selected a color palette, a light font, and simple icons that do not distract. As a result, I managed to create an interface where everything is clear and nothing is unnecessary.
After making several revisions and approving the design, I prepared the full UI kit, handed over the files for development, and maintained constant communication with the team.
