Google Ads and web analytics setup for trading

Project Meta: Launching conversion-focused contextual advertising in Google Ads to attract users to an online trading simulator and setting up end-to-end analytics to track micro and macro conversions.

Project Tasks:
1. Build a tracking funnel for user actions on the website: from the first visit to active interaction with the simulator.
2. Optimize advertising campaigns to achieve target actions at the lowest cost (CPA).

What has been done:
- Technical setup of analytics: custom tracking of interactions with the simulator interface has been deployed using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Tracking for the start of training, execution of test trades, and completion of simulations has been configured.
- Integration of Google Ads tags: conversion tracking has been set up in the advertising cabinet for precise training of Google’s AI algorithms.
- Advertising strategy: campaigns aimed at attracting interested audiences (beginner investors, traders, people interested in crypto and finance) have been developed and launched. Creative testing and bid optimization for target conversion costs have been conducted.

Results of the advertising campaign:
- Total conversions: 441
- Average cost per conversion (CPA): 6.31 UAH
- Conversion rate (CR): 14.08%
- CTR (click-through rate): 4.05%

Thanks to precise targeting and proper audience warming through the free simulator, a record low conversion cost (less than 7 UAH) was achieved with a high level of user engagement in the product.
